New York Housing Stability And Tenant Protection Act Of 2019

On June 14, 2019, Governor Cuomo signed into law the New York Housing Stability And Tenant Protection Act Of 2019. This law has wide ranging implications for both landlords and tenants, from the amount of late fees, to the time required to commence eviction proceedings.

All landlords and tenants should be aware that this law takes effect immediately. The ramifications of this law are still being analyzed by the legal community. We will follow up with a more comprehensive blog post shortly.
